Methods of Seeing on the Screen with Key Combinations
In many car models, you can bring the serial number to the screen with a secret key combination without needing to remove the radio.
Ford (6000 CD and Sony)
Turn on your radio and see the word CODE on the screen. Press and hold the 1 and 6 keys (or 2 and 6 keys) at the same time. A series of texts will start scrolling on the screen. The 7-digit number appearing at the end in the form of V123456 or M123456 is your serial number.
Renault and Dacia
In Renault radios, when you usually turn on the radio by pressing and holding the 1 and 5 keys at the same time, a 4-digit code called Precode appears on the screen (e.g., Q123, T555). If this doesn't work, you will need to remove the radio and read the last 4 digits of the barcode on the side label.
Honda (With Navigation)
In Honda vehicles, when you press and hold the radio power button, the 1 key, and the 6 key simultaneously, an 8-digit number starting with the letters U and L appears on the screen (e.g., U1234 L5678). The combination of these two numbers forms your device's serial number.
