Audi radio serial numbers are 14-character codes starting with "AUZ" stamped on the metal chassis (e.g. AUZ1Z3K1234567 or AUZ2Z3...).

Step-by-Step Code Input

When "1000" appears after "SAFE", enter digits via buttons 1-4. Hold down "SCAN" and "RDS" buttons together for 3-5 seconds to confirm and unlock.

ERROR & LOCKOUT FIX

SAFE / WAIT / LOCKED Solution

After 2 incorrect attempts, "SAFE" locks the unit. Leave the radio and ignition ON for 60 minutes continuously to restore the "1000" code prompt.
